DES PLAINES, Ill. – State Reps. Justin Cochran, D-Des Plaines, and Michelle Mussman, D-Schaumburg, are hosting a joint meet and greet tour of neighborhood history museum Kinder House, located at 781 Pearson St. in Des Plaines on the evening of April 28.
“Remembering the history of our community honors those who came before us and shows us the way to the future,” Cochran said. “That’s why it’s so important to recognize and support institutions like this, that keep our history alive for each new generation to learn from.” The meet and greet will take place at the Des Plaines History Center’s Kinder House, and will include two tours of the historic house.
“This is such a great opportunity to learn about our community’s history,” said Mussman. “I appreciate every opportunity I have to talk to community members, and I’m excited to do just that in this smaller setting for an opportunity to have deeper conversations.” Cochran and Mussman will hold two meet and greet spots, with tours departing at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Each group will be limited to 10 people, and pre-registration is required.
